My man, I received your "Stuck in Divorce Prison" email and had to write to say  
"thank you again in 2002-03 I was doing the divorce thing and you really helped. 
Your vids were right on, your emails were uplifting.  Your message was
quite simpel:  Stay out of the court system.  Believe it or not, we
battled 13 months, then settled our money issues in 2 hours...
outside of court.  We never dissolved our marriage and now we are
getting back together.

Dear Aj,

Your tips as always are great.  I have written to you before and appreciate your answers.  
Here is something dirty that happened to me.  My estranged husband it seems married me 
with a last name that is not his actual last name. He has never had his name legally changed to 
the one he goes by. His first marriage was fraudulent. He married a foreign girl under the promise 
he would get money.  If nothing else  your info has taught me to really check a person out 
and know much more about them......lol

I wrote you some time ago about my situation where I had been married  only 2 years and she 
wanted an ungodly amount of Alimony, my house, car and  our 2 yr old son.  I am happy to report that 
my divorce is now final and I kept my house, my car, most of my property and I 
have custody of our two year old son which as I understand it is very difficult to accomplish.  

What's even more ironic is that you were right my ex did all of it to herself.  
As I recall all of the details it seems that the more she tried to hurt me in the process of things, 
the more she ultimately hurt herself.  There is something to be said for dotting your i's and crossing your
t's and for  keeping silent until you MUST speak and sticking to the facts and no truer truth was ever said 
when the statement was made....

I do appreciate all of the advice and real life stores that you share with me.  
Thanks much.  The wife told me that she wanted to separate on the very 
day that I returned to the states (I was gone from home appx  ten months since 
9/11 and must leave again for four months in the Spring.  I haven't been serve papers...AS YET.  

But I won't be surprised

Hey A.J. you were right this is the “Dirtiest Trick Ever”

You talked about ex-wives and husbands spying.  This really happened to a friend of mine 
who is now getting divorced.

 While still together, his wife put one of those 
tracking" programs on their  shared computer, unbeknownst to him.  
When she left him, she was still able to access his activities from a remote location. 
Once he was able to figure  this out, he erased his entire hard drive, 
but  unfortunately, forgot to password protect his internet account.   
He merely called the  ISP and had her name removed from the account.)  
She was then  able to access his internet account from a remote location and via a 
"password sniffing" program, was able to access all of his free internet  email accounts. 
(i.e. yahoo,hotmail etc) In addition, he would be chatting on the yahoo messenger 
and for no apparent  reason, be disconnected with a message "you have been 
logged off because this account has been logged on to from another location." True story.

p.s. when password protecting your internet account,
be certain to touch base with both the billing and technical support departments.
